Cold heading wire and bar is used in the manufacture of cold-formed screws, bolts, nuts, rivets, nails, and other complex formed parts. For all these products quality is paramount. Our cold forming wires have been developed to meet the growing demand for special steels to be headed and extruded for use in increasingly demanding applications.
Strict Control of wiredrawing, heat treatment, coating and inspection, ensures high quality products with consistent tensile strength, uniform microstructure and improved forgeability. Attributes that enable customers to benefit from longer die life, improved yield and increased machine availability.
We supply a large variety of grades of stainless steels and nickel alloys suitable for many applications, from the production of simple rivets and screws to the more complicated bolts and other fasteners where chemical composition, coating and tensile strength play an important part in production.
A full range of non-metallic coatings and lubricants are available on our wire to meet the varying conditions of surface protection to heat and pressure during cold forming.
