Brass

Brass is the generic term for a range of copper-zinc alloys ranging from 90% copper / 10 % zinc to 63% copper / 37% zinc. Each alloy has a differing combination of properties, including strength, corrosion-resistance, machinability, ductility, wear-resistance, hardness, colour, antimicrobial properties and electrical and thermal conductivity. The Electrical conductivity of Brass ranges from 25 to 50% IACS (International Annealed Copper Standard). Brass alloys also boast excellent thermal conductivity and very good cryogenic properties.

Our Brass Wire is manufactured in round, flat and profiled sections in a full range of sizes and tempers to meet individual customer requirements for a range of applications as diverse as Redrawing, Cold Heading, Swaging Zipper Wire, Mechanical Fabrication, Screens, Jewellery, Fashion Accessories and Electrical Contacts.
