This is why Fox manufactures all wirelines and strands – regardless of material grades - to the highest quality. To ensure this quality is maintained, we include as standard the following quality procedures for every individual wireline and strand we produce:
Wirelines (Slicklines)

100% Non Destructive Testing after manufacture

100% Weld Free (including raw material)

Tested to destruction to meet our specified Minimum Breaking Load

Torsion or Wrap tested dependant on material grade

Diameter tolerance of +/- 0.001 inch (0.0254 mm)

Meet or exceed the requirements of API 9A

Carbon wirelines are coated with a corrosion inhibitor.
To ensure products arrive at the final destination in prime condition, every individual wireline is supplied on a steel reel and packed inside a solid wooden crate.
Strands (Braided Lines)

Tested to destruction to meet our specified Minimum Breaking Load

Checked at regular intervals during manufacture for Ovality and Lay Length

Strictly controlled and recorded maximum strand diameters

Meet or exceed the requirements of API 9A

Layer wound to ensure a smooth pay-off
To ensure products arrive at the final destination in prime condition, every individual strand is supplied on a heavy duty wooden reel (steel reel for 5/16”) and packed inside a solid wooden crate.
