Wirelines and well service strands are used for lowering tools and instruments in deep oil and gas wells. The technical challenges facing such products have never been greater. The combination of hydrogen sulphide, chlorides and carbon dioxide in such wells, together with high pressure and temperature, present considerable technical challenges.
