Well Service

Wirelines and well service strands are used for lowering tools and instruments in deep oil and gas wells. The technical challenges facing such products have never been greater. Production is taking place in wells of ever-increasing depth and corrosiveness. The combination of hydrogen sulphide, chlorides and carbon dioxide in such wells, together with high pressure and temperature, present considerable technical challenges.

Our products are exposed to the most punishing conditions requiring the highest standards of heat resistance, strength and reliability. There can be no compromises regarding quality assurance.

In such corrosive environments, wirelines and well service strands made of conventional carbon steels and lower alloyed stainless steels may not be sufficient to overcome the technical challenges presented. So, appropriate material selection is critical to minimising risks and maximizing operational continuity.

Our long-established reputation in the oil and gas markets is based on the real advantages we afford our customers:

  • We provide a complete environment solution for all wireline and strand applications, supplying the highest specification materials across the range, from high carbon steel to ®
  • We have industry-leading products, including® and Dyform

  • The Fox brand stands for supreme quality. The branded products we supply set the standard for the industry. All our wirelines and strands – regardless of material grades – are manufactured to the highest quality. To ensure this quality is maintained, we include as standard the most comprehensive range of quality approval procedures for every individual wireline and strand we produce.
